Before you can accept payments with Rabo OnlineKassa, your webshop must be reviewed and approved. This review helps the bank understand your business, verify what you sell, and ensure that your website complies with legal, regulatory, and banking requirements.

Webshop approval process
- Initial webshop submission
- When you request Rabo OnlineKassa, your webshop URL is automatically submitted for review. No manual action is required from you at this stage.
- Webshop review
- The review is usually completed within 1 business day. During this process, we assess your webshop against our legal and operational requirements. Please refer to the checklist below to ensure your webshop meets all necessary criteria.
- Decision & notification
- You will receive the outcome of the webshop review by email:
- Approved – You can immediately start using all requested OnlineKassa products.
- Rejected – You will receive an email explaining that the webshop did not meet one or more requirements. See below for next steps.

What to do if your webshop is rejected
- Review the requirements
- Check your webshop against all mandatory requirements listed below
- Make sure all required pages and information are present and publicly accessible
- If the rejection reason is unclear, contact Rabo Smart Pay support for clarification
- Resubmit your webshop
- Once you are confident that your webshop complies with all requirements:
- Log in to the Rabo Smart Pay Dashboard
- Go to Self‑service → My company → Manage webshops
- Click the (•••) menu next to the webshop
- Select "Report as ready"
- Complete the resubmission steps
- Once you are confident that your webshop complies with all requirements:
- Follow-up review
- Your webshop will be reviewed again within 1 business day
- You will receive the outcome automatically by email
Webshop approval checklist
To use Rabo Smart Pay, your website must comply with international payment regulations and card‑scheme rules. This checklist explains what your webshop needs to show before payments can be activated.
- Required business and legal information
- The following information must be complete, correct, and easy to find:
- Registered business name
- Full registered business address
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number
- VAT number (if exempt, please contact Rabo Smart Pay)
- Customer service information
- At least two contact methods, such as:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Contact form
- Legal and policy pages
- Terms and Conditions
- Privacy and cookie policy
- Return and refund policy
- The following information must be complete, correct, and easy to find:
- The webshop must be fully operational
- Rabo Smart Pay can only be activated for webshops that are fully operational. Your webshop must:
- Be live and publicly accessible
- Not be “under construction”
- Use final text and images

- To approve your webshop, we must be able to review it without restrictions. Please ensure that your website is accessible without a password. If your webshop is login‑protected, kindly provide access credentials by email to [email protected], so we can complete our review.
- Website activities must match Chamber of Commerce registration
- The products and services listed on your website must match the activities registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). If they do not match, you must either update your website or amend your KvK registration before resubmitting.
